Ripped off by orange - Did not get my double bundle!!!
I saw an advert in todays paper that indicated that if I load credit on my orange mobile I will get double of either data or sms or voice... I loaded my Ksh. 150 and then went to #123# and then went to the "promotions" menu and bought 100MB for Ksh.150... ...but I did not get 200MB (i.e. double)... I called customer care on 100 and they told me that Ksh. 150 is for 50MB... But looking at all their posters, the new bundle for Ksh.150 is 100MB...therefore I should have gotten 200MB if I bought that bundle!!! Therefore I urge you to note that the double thingy does not work for data bundles!!! Claire.
One thing I have noted with Orange, when I have no funds (i.e. bundle has run out on my modem), any link I try to go to will be re-directed to their gateway (so you can top up) and the link/connection is amazingly/blindingly/stupendously/wonderfully/shockingly/unbelievably stable. No hangups, dropped connections, etc. BUT: The second you load up a new bundle, you get the most unstable link in the history of the internet on this planet. The link will be so bad you will be re-connecting every other minute. Getting to a stage I am seriously considering just throwing it in the dustbin. The Ad says the double airtime can be used for calls,sms and data not doubling your data bundle. This offer has been on for over two weeks and the rates they offer are already doubled! Please do your home work first.
