Disclaimer, i dont work there, This is what happens with banks; when u open an account with bank X, in this case coop, they get all ur details in hard copy. They input all the soft details like name, address, etc as u wait to be allocated an acc number. Details like signatures, thumb prints, etc are sent to their head offices for scanning then distributed to their branches for updating. This physical movement of your signature takes time. Well; there are some things I usually notice when they say my signature is wrong --- (1) I have never got that crap from a male cashier (2) wen you are dressed in casual wear (3) wen you are removing amounts and you dont look like you can afford that amount So the challenge I usually pose them is "I have an ID; two, the ID has my signature; three, you have a photo in my account - am sure there is a way you can pull it from the database"

i'd solve this in one of two ways: who do you report to? Managers really dont care. They tell you that that they are covering their a$$e$, closing your account too is a non issue to them. Infact they tell you its your call. Worse of it all is they tell you their is a charge associated in closing the account 1. They readily accept the cash, or draw your account with closure fees 2. I doubt if they request you to sign and counter verify your signature in the closure forms In short the problem is them giving ou the cash. Possible solutions. - Avoid going to the banking hall - Increase your withdrawal limit to maximum - KCB can chuck up to 2 hundred K. - The stupid bank has few faulty and lonq queued ATMs Nowanda safcom is beating banks in their own game. I always insist that i didnt take art lessons in replication. I was always been reffered to my home branch (Eldoret) to 'take a photo' every time I was signing a banker's cheque. Sometimes they would just be honest and say 'it's your signature boss'.
