@Techi We don't unlock modems because of the price, most people here are geek and own more than one already (I have 4, 5 if you count iBurst) We do it because we have to, because its a challenge and more importantly, for the convenience. @Techi : Some clarification here: Orange/Telkom Kenya/France Telecom has both GSM & CDMA networks. The 3G+ product is available on the CDMA network. The 3G network is (was?) on trial on their GSM network in selected areas. @Wallace: No amount of configuration will allow you to use a GSM device on a CDMA network or vice-versa. The limitation goes down to hardware and the processes involved before the device hooks up onto the target network. Tony.
