DSTV through Naspers already has something with Mweb, some of its developments went into using the same decoder , dish while outgoing was via adsl etc. With Mweb purchasing Afsat Africa ( and capacity on Panamsat ). Somehow the decoder was the the let down, they tried something similar to hughes that did this setup many years ago, I think now to become a reality soon. @Aki - this was the position some time back, until Naspers sold the ISP/Internet division (which includes Afsat) to Telkom SA, thus Naspers is back in media - print and TV - which is their core business and want to maintain that. The idea of Multichoice being an ISP was noble IMHO as it was to be for Home and SOHO users only - Hughes is doing the same in the US ./Ok3ch On Mon, Nov 30, 2009 at 12:19 PM, aki <aki275@googlemail.com> wrote:

I think more rather than DSTV being an ISP, why not have iWay introduce a way to transmit DVB-S on to their equipment such that you have a single triple play modem. This way DSTV maintain core business & iway provide support. Just an idea. But will still be too expensive for wanjiku.
