Hi Anyone know how long it takes to get a new Zuku connection? There is an organisation that's on Lenana Road that's been trying to interest Zuku in connecting them for the better part of a month. Is this normal? regards amanya -- i have not always been right, but i have always been sincere ~w.e.b. du bois

forever and a day :). the complaint seems to be quite common , it seems to take quite a while, it is certainly nowhere near normal. On Tue, Apr 12, 2011 at 12:55 PM, amanya <whynnot@gmail.com> wrote:

And when they connect, they will never show up when the equipment fail. The bill will arrive on time though. One of our clients moved to Saf and he's been happily connected thereafter. On Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 10:29 AM, joyce kamara <kamarax@gmail.com> wrote:

Finally..............I think I have confirmed my fears. PETER MUST BE IN SAFCOM PR.

Fellow skunker; It takes courage to raise false allegations. It takes courage to accept any allegation. One is supposed to be courageous when facing any allegation. Courageous people always refuse false allegations. I only offer "FREE" advice - kinda free beer! I'm not paid to offer my opinion. Peter the Safcom defender accepted reality long ago....that the company many here love to bash is also their saviour and most reliable last resort...or how do you explain the fact that these people all have active Safaricom sim cards even when they are most venomous about that company....? .... well, the fact is that compared to zuku, saf wimax is much better... then again, saf doesnt have the logistical headache zuku has given the huge number of clients and applicants it has.... zuku just chewed off a huge market segment that its having trouble chewing and properly digesting.... and the ensuing constipation may be doing saf a favour :-) ... oh! btw! there's orange too btw! the live box thing is marvellous, though slightly more expensive... slightly is subjective though. .... i'd go for orange, and suggest it too. Jon Doe, True, the Livebox thing is pretty faster compared to Zuku, I also know its pretty uniform in terms of coverage than Zuku. Support from Telkom is horrible but its a DIY gadget so I haven't heard issues with our good number of SME's running it. When you are in support, last mile support, somehow the customers troubles become your troubles, too. Zuku doesnt even listen to your troubles, kinda KDN (sigh). They connect and disappear never to be seen again. When Recommending ISP, I always begin with Sfc and AK, then Swift N Telkom depending on location, size and budget.Sfc is always there when clients need them. Same to Access Kenya & Swift Global (faster speeds than AK's). Peter On Sat, Apr 16, 2011 at 10:39 AM, John Doe Smith Kamau KipNg'etich Jones < skunkworks.ku@gmail.com> wrote:

Has everyone forgotten this Osotsi Guy was the same one looking for apn settings for the IDIOT. I can also conclude those hurling veiled insults are of the kind that never loses an argument. On Apr 16, 2011 10:00 PM, "Peter Osotsi" <peter.osotsi@gmail.com> wrote:

Kombo; The charges are friendly across board at the moment. May be a difference of 500/- or so, but customers wouldn't mind as long as the speeds are decent for their daily operations and affordable according to their budget. For smaller budgets I have noticed Sfc is getting a foothold, same for high end budgets. AK is getting entrenched in the high and middle, same to swift. Telkom is stuck in the low end market (Livebox) and the government. Answers your question Watson, remember I can't even mention Airtel anywhere. Airtel need to get serious so that people don't feel Safaricom (not again) is robbing them. May be this time, they will only manage to bring down AK, Swift Global and the other smaller players. Safaricom is getting entrenched at the bottom of the pyramid and this may well spell doom for any internet Airtel may be planning to sell on the launch of their 3/4G. @ Fellow Skunk, not that I am defending the other Peter, but, if you do just a little digging using some easily accessible common tools, you will realize that the evidence available strongly indicates that the other Peter does not work for Safcom PR... :-)
