Here's how we got here: I broke my part of my earphone jack in the port of the Macbook so I took it to our IT guys to fix it but they were unable. At some point in the process of trying to get the metal out to bring back sound, it developed another problem; the screen stopped working. Basically, the comp was on (the display light was on) but the screen remained blank. So I took it to Elite (finding out the name in a bit) to sort both problems but it took over a month with nothing coming through and no sign of things getting any better. So I took the machine and sent it along to Mac&Mo who said a lot of small parts were missing and the logic board was acting up. They finally said it could not be salvaged coz it was so screwed [obviously not literally :) ] that they could not figure it out. Those are the highlights. Update: the following took place between 10AM and 11AM. Rahim finally got out of ignorance larry's information from a good samaritan on Skunkworks. There is something or two I can learn from this. Before folding sleeves and ready to fire shots at a person, try and figure out why there seems a 'slow motion' in regards to a service or product. When delegating tasks, do so if you really need to do it. If not, make an appointment and create time for having a service or product attended. Sometimes being who-is, in the society, has benefits (not a direct reference to anyone here). Finally, buy your products where there is an excellent after sales service and not because of costs. Affordability is not just a matter of how much one wants to purchase a product or use a service, but on how to be treated after subscribing to a service then try to make a call because the product has a problem!
