Rahim,
Wow, that's a great attitude, and I must say, a very rare one in this part of the world. My apologies for taking a little long to respond, I had mad jetlag to sleep off.
Here's how we got here: I broke my part of my earphone jack in the port of the Macbook so I took it to our IT guys to fix it but they were unable. At some point in the process of trying to get the metal out to bring back sound, it developed another problem; the screen stopped working. Basically, the comp was on (the display light was on) but the screen remained blank.
So I took it to Elite (finding out the name in a bit) to sort both problems but it took over a month with nothing coming through and no sign of things getting any better. So I took the machine and sent it along to Mac&Mo who said a lot of small parts were missing and the logic board was acting up. They finally said it could not be salvaged coz it was so screwed [obviously not literally :) ] that they could not figure it out.
Those are the highlights.
Regards
