If it was me buying, I would stay away from Starcom, their customer service iko chini tu sana. I would also stay away from Ebrahims Electronics, based on second hand information, they sometimes interfere with the components that come in the laptop box and sell them separately, plus you don't get the personalized customer service you would get at a smaller shop. And, if support and warranty stuff are high up on your list, then go to a authorized Toshiba reseller. Initially their customer service was better but nowadays I don't know if they are under new management or what....I am no longer the faithful customer I used to be. Then, I recently found out that the Toshiba laptop they sold to me was one of those second-hand ones that Toshiba warned about in the press, how disappointing. And when I bought it, they didn't give me the recovery CDs and etc that comes with buying a new laptop, and being a naive young girl, I walked away with a queasy feeling that I never acted upon, and now it's too late! Just be careful even when buying from the so-called reputable outlets, many people are out to con.
