EQUITY'S MKESHO EXPERIENCING TECHNICAL HITCHES ON THIS SUNDAY

Greetings people, Mkesho is a great product thro the partnership of the two great firms. Unfortunately there seem to be techical hitches that usually occur unexpectedly. Today I needed 2 send cash urgently to somebody and since I had travelled to one of the EA countries, I opted 2 withdraw cash from my Mkesho Acc n send it directly 2 that person's Mpesa Acc. Unfortunately I only received an sms 10 hrs later confirming that my Acc has been debited yet no cash credited on my Mpesa Acc. From my observation on several occasions, the issue seems to be occuring at the point of sending the transaction details to Mpesa for crediting the Mpesa mobile Acc. This is because my Acc is usually debited yet it fails at the instance of crediting the Mpesa Acc. Kind Regards, Emmaneul.

Precisely the reason I gave up on mkesho. Karibu coop m-banking :-) sent from my android device. On May 8, 2011 10:48 PM, "Emmanuel Ochieng" <emmanuelochieng797@gmail.com> wrote:

Benard; What do you know that we don't? Seems you are one of them?

True that. For the last two or so months, I have been having major issues with Equity's mobile services. I'm only subscribed to the Eassy 24/7 mobile service;check balances, mini-statements, etc, but most of the time tis a 'keep trying' thing. I really admire my bank's phenomenal growth but their ICT infrastructure including their ATMs is not what it used to be two to three years ago. I last use eassy 247 months ago and it looked like a system that was based on 2 out of sync systems, MPESA and the Banks . I am still surprised that they are yet to sort that out. Maybe they should consult KPLC, looks like KPLC of late have synced their ERP with MPESA, you pay for the bill and results are instant and seem to come from a comp, not someone like before.

Hi Dennis, I like the example you've given of KPLC having sorted the technical issue they had. I bet this should be the best way of serving your clients. Nway, could it be that the issues affecting Mkesho are external factors as opposed to the internal System failure. I am tempted to think that if it was the case - internal System failure , then they would have handled it longtime ago. Regards, Emmanuel. Equity bank now have agents all over who operate like Mpesa agents and have now sort of abandoned the Mkesho initiative since the their agencies and Mpesa (Mkesho) are competing each other. So they are doing whatany other business would do kill whats not your own for your own to grow. This is a strategy they are using to divert their customers to eassy 247 and the technical hitch is just a red herring.
