And my computer was also a print server coz i have a printer that i share with a few people ever since when i print a word document with lines eg.... I happen to have a similar problem with still a HP Printer, only that mine draws a faint line after printing two pages, that is the third page will have a line that looks like a watermark. MY PROBLEMS HAS BEEN RESOLVED....i uninstalled the previous hp drivers i had installed and plugged in the printer and updated drivers through the internet from device manager . at first i got the error "windows found drivers for your hardware but a problem was encountered while trying to install it "access denied" so i turned of firewall and UAC then rebooted. and i also paused kaspersky for 1 minute...then it eventually updated.. Not sure why you have this problem, but a starting point would be to download Windows 7 specific drivers for your printer and re-install and see if it work. While older drivers of XP and other operating systems may work on Windows 7, they may not always provide the desired result.
