Hi guys, I recently downloaded the iso for Ubuntu 9.04 and installed on my comp at home. However, the OS won't start up, all I get is a blank screen after a few minutes of "failed" boot and the comp freezes. Any idea on what could be causing it or why it is happening? -- Paul N. Generally, when it comes to installation issues, you could have missed important requirements and procedures during the installation process. Go through the installation manual, make sure your system meets requirements and that you've followed the installation process. Am running a Dell Optiplex 755 Core 2 Duo and all efforts (Uninstall + reinstall, debugging on safe graphics mode) just won't work. I have tried it on an IBM thinkpad and everything is fine. After installation, can you try to boot off the CD again but this time on the first menu select "Boot From Hard Drive" If that works then you will need to sort out the boot loader. Alex
