Hi Skunk? As techies and business men , what are the features you would be looking for from a smart watch watch , here are mine below 1. Battery life (although abit skeptical unless it has a 3.0 screen) 2. Notifications 3.Quick Actions (short text replies , music control , etc) 4.unique watch/mobile feature like a pedometer 5.no camera :) -- GG

http://www.cookoowatch.com/ works well for me. I just need notifications, plus battery life of 2 years :) On 7 April 2014 08:42, geoffrey gitagia <ggitagia@gmail.com> wrote:

I wonder though, why I would want yet another device carried on my person with apps to notify me about what is in my phone (which is right inside the pocket of the trouser am wearing) ? No thanks. This energy to innovate should be directed towards a smartphone battery that will last us a month. -- Ndungi Kyalo On 7 April 2014 12:43, geoffrey gitagia <ggitagia@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes, better said! Some things defeats logic (IMHO) if really some devices add value to your communication, convenience or even 'style with purpose' and the like. Kind Regards, Wilson./

As one Mwirigi said here: http://mulikamwizi.com/2014/01/29/smartwatches-like-the-galaxy-gear-and-the-... Smart watches are meant to be a replacement/upgrade for guys who wear 'Analog' watches. Thanks, Ndungi, for asking that question. You have the phone on you, and the watch on you. The later is simply unnecessary. On 7 April 2014 15:11, Mark Mwangi <mwangy@gmail.com> wrote:

I find them to be very useful accessories , for example on my phone if i want to change a track i have to pull out my 5.0 inch phone to press one button the put it back, now most of you would have earphones that have that , also you get a text , once again 5.0 and text content is "k" , also you want a glance at the time (or avoid someone) pulling out a 5.0 inch.... (the guy will have spotted and started a conversation) , so yes they are abit relevant , but i was looking for features, would you like to answer phones calls? (look like a CIA Operative ...not to be tried in Mogadishu) take pics from a 3.0 (i know this is useless but once again CIA operative, stay with me here) , but once again small things that make sitting down enjoyable or when you have to check your phone while having a conversation and then the whole conversation flow breaks , whilst a small glance at your wrist would have saved the day... *i should really be in marketing not IT*.. but lets talk features. Some features i find useful on my smart watch - If you forget your phone and walk away it alerts you when out of range - Your phone can let you know where it is if you misplace it (but in of range) ... I do this a lot! you can use step 1 then walk around using step 2 to find it... - For ladies who always have their phone in the handbag and can't hear them ring.... :p - a vibrating watch can help - Take selfies! Can set up phone, gather behind it and use the watch to snap a pic from the phone - beats holding your hand out (although setting up the phone might be a problem depending on where you are) - Ignoring calls while in meetings and so on without pulling out your phone (i just glance at the watch and shake it to ignore especially when driving) - extending features e.g. heart rate, sweat, (stress?) monitoring ... I think the best way to think of it is like a bluetooth headset. If you have a need for it, then you'll find it useful, if not then probably not. For those of us who drive a lot or spend time running, walking around town or in the gym, a watch integrated to the phone would be a super handy accessory. Changing tracks, the heart rate monitor etc are all a major plus for some of us. On 8 April 2014 08:54, geoffrey gitagia <ggitagia@gmail.com> wrote:

On the smart watch note, has anyone heard of the rumoured Galaxy Solo. A watch that is an actual phone. Check the digital trends website. Regards, Fernandes Thuita. On Tue, Apr 8, 2014 at 11:08 AM, Obi wan riobani <rriobs@gmail.com> wrote:
