<OT> HP EliteBook 2540p Replacement HDD

Hey guys, Anyone with this having HP P/N 598777-001 or Toshiba P/N 601793-001 please let me know offlist.

Out of curiosity.... If those are simply HDD's, why would one be so particular with getting an exact replacement? Company policy? Warranty Issues? Manufacturer specific attributes (eg Toshiba's encryption)? If you don't mind, what's your case Alex? I'd assume that other than the scenarios I've listed, any similar HDD would do. No? Tony.

Thought so too. On Wed, May 28, 2014 at 11:26 AM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:

LOL. nothing sinister guys. I just opened up the laptop and saw it looks rather strange (PIN assignment) so decided was safer quoting the P/N rather than generalizing I want a laptop HDD. I haven't checked if the below circled in red is just an adapter, will check later today. [image: Inline image 2] Regards, Alex On Wed, May 28, 2014 at 12:30 PM, Mark Mwangi <mwangy@gmail.com> wrote:
