Out of curiosity....

If those are simply HDD's, why would one be so particular with getting an exact replacement? Company policy? Warranty Issues? Manufacturer specific attributes (eg Toshiba's encryption)?

If you don't mind, what's your case Alex? I'd assume that other than the scenarios I've listed, any similar HDD would do. No?
