The department of domains and hosting services... am trying to customize my mail access url to mail.mycompany.co.ke but its proving difficult for even my domain host. Oh Just incase u dont understand. I recently switched my mail domain to Google APPS and i need to figure out how i can switch from mail.google.com/a/mycompany.co.ke to mail.mycompany.co.ke. @dave, this has nothing to do with google as (if my assumption is correct) they do not host your domain name. Here is the only way you can do this: 1: Go into the google apps control panel and change your url for mail to mail.yourdomain.com 2: Go to your domain name manager (on your domain name registrar) and add an A record for mail.yourdomain.com to point to google. inbox me... I find it easy from my end but since my panel is only accessible to my host...its only instructions i can give them.. which i already did .. google apps is up and running but when i try to customise my url...page not found. Guyz I've tried everything with this support people at wananchi.. they claim they have done everything correct but i do not have results i want. Thats why i need to coordinate with some one at google. Oh and DAUDI WERE... I have looked up my Mx records they exist but cname record doesnt seem to be found... the HOST says i speak to Google ... bt i need a contact to do this.. i will fire them later on....after my mail is up. I have a client where the cname records are set up correctly but they can not access their custom url from their office. After going back and forth with them on the phone I finally went over and discovered that indeed you could not reach the custom url or even their website from their office. AfricaOnline DNS had not yet picked up the new servers more than a week later. A quick check by switching to OpenDNS confirmed this.
So check the cname records just in case

Nope. He should tell us what his domain name is (without masking it out) and we check against the published records to see whether the right things have been done.
