Google seems to retain alot of information about account activity. I created mine in India ages ago, and when I'm logging out, I still see alot of <google.co.in> as I get logged out. I realized that google voice would not work if I had set up English UK as default language of choice, but upon changing to English US it worked. Could you toy around with that setting or have you already tried that?
