We are looking for a Network Engineer CCNP level responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases, designing communication networks within an Enterprise environment; To be a successful network engineer you need to be a confident communicator and possess excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to do presentation/pre-sales and leadership abilities. Initially the resource will work with a team of highly skilled consultants to deploy a Cisco Enterprise Unified communication solution thereafter lead support efforts for the client. *General tasks include:* - establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, leading system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards; (Cisco routing, switching, VLANS, voice/UC solutions, firewall, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)) - the design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment; - maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization; - undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources; - securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access; - the support and administration of firewall environments ( Cisco ASA, Check point UTM solutions & ACS etc) in line with IT security policy; - updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations; and company certification - reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects; - upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases; - liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis; - capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers; - Ability to train end users *Qualifications* - computer science; - CCNP - Working on CCIE *Work experience* - Minimum 3 years work experince in an enterpise environment -- *Regards,* *Edwin Siro* *+254 705 354508*
