Eastra Solutions is a leading system integrator and technology  company focused on providing enterprise class IT Operations and  services.

 

We are looking for a Network Engineer CCNP level responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, in some cases, designing communication networks within an Enterprise environment; To be a successful network engineer you need to be a confident communicator and possess excellent attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to do presentation/pre-sales and leadership abilities.

 

Initially the resource will work with a team of highly skilled consultants to deploy a Cisco Enterprise Unified communication solution thereafter lead support efforts for the client.

 

General tasks include:

 

• establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, leading system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards; (Cisco routing, switching, VLANS, voice/UC solutions, firewall, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE))
  
• the design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment;
  
• maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades and collaborating with network architects on network optimization;
  
• undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources;
  
• securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, and defining and monitoring access;
  
• the support and administration of firewall environments ( Cisco ASA, Check point UTM solutions & ACS etc) in line with IT security policy;
  
• updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations; and company certification
  
• reporting network operational status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects;
  
• upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases;
  
• liaising with project management teams, third-line engineers and service desk engineers on a regular basis;
  
• capacity management and audit of IP addressing and hosted devices within data centers;
  
• Ability to train end users
  

  

Qualifications

• computer science;
  
• CCNP
  
• Working on CCIE
  

 

Work experience

•  Minimum 3 years work experince in an enterpise environment
