Re: [Skunkworks] Orange offer on iPhone 5

The pricing is right. But you will pay Kes 5,000 per month for 24 months on the phone. And no upgrade is offered if you have the Orange Ke iPhne 4/4S
Hmm, So the phone end up costing ksh 120,000, about $1400. That's almost twice the price you could pay for it upfront. I would say not a great deal, though I have seen worse. Actually, may make sense to get a small loan and pay the loan instead. Assuming interest have gone down from the high of 25% last time I checked. I do understand why they do that though, there is the risk factor too, which is padded on top of interest, inflation which can eat into their money within those two years, but for a freaking phone, I would rather scrap the whole idea than pay such a premium if I can't afford it upfront. A bit out of topic, but this is the one thing I love nexus. I hate freaking contracts and pay for smartphone upfront. Muriithi

Hi All,
Has anyone seen or confirmed this offer from Orange Kenya on iPhone 5?
16GB : Ksh. 16,900/= 32GB : Ksh. 25,500/= 64GB Ksh. 33,999/=
I would like to know what the monthly limit spend are on this offer and if there are any hidden charges?
And does Orange kenya offer upgrades when say you were on iPhone 4S and and want the 5? Or if you lose your iPhone5?

Incase of a loss, the only thing they replace is the simcard but you will continue paying as usual until the contract ends. But I think there is insurance option at a cost though where they can replace the handset. On 30 Dec 2012 03:05, <calvinebarongo@gmail.com> wrote:

William, The price cannot become 120k because the 5k is units you use on the phone. It's like saying you buy an unlocked iPhone for 90k and because you averagely spent 10k on the phone and you use it for 2 years then the price 350k? ./Ok3ch Sent from my iPad On Dec 30, 2012, at 12:53 AM, William Muriithi <william.muriithi@gmail.com> wrote:
