Some say it's your spirit coming back to your body after an astral projection. I'm talking about when you trying to wake up but you can't move your body,You can only move your eyes, You can't talk or scream for help and you hear your thoughts out loud."HOLY JESUS FKING CHRIST THERE'S A DEMON ON MY BACK!! sometimes you can here wierd voices like foot steps or an engine or drums. Eventually it wears off, It only last for about 30 seconds, then I wake up. Or if someone sees u acting all wierd and taps you you instantly wake up.. but now u cant go back to sleep quickly. It is the process of transforming nightmares and such other dreams to a situation where you usually know you are dreaming. @Kirirah. Happens to me once in a while as well. My trick is that I never sleep alone and my wife is now well trained how to wake me up slowly when she senses I am in it. I tend to think though that if it went on for long enough (say a few minutes) that that might just be the end of me, so I make sure that my wife is always happy with me, otherwise ........ Now, your dream sounds more like the feeling we get when we are awoken suddenly in the middle of a dream. You see, when we are dreaming, all the muscles (except our eyes) are switched off, so that we don't act out our dreams. (It's when that 'switch' doesn't work right that people sleep-walk).
But what that means is that if we wake up suddenly, the muscles haven't had time to be switched on again. Which means we feel paralysed and suffocated and helpless and often terrified, panicking, sweaty etc etc
When we wake suddenly like that, we're also very confused - maybe unaware that we're still dreaming, or desperately wanting to wake up to get away from something - but of course can't because we're paralysed...
The cure is to stabilise your sleep pattern so that you wake gently. So try to figure out how much sleep you need, and go to bed at an hour that fits with that - so that you will drift into wakefulness around 6am, as daytime noises start.
Lay off the alcohol and caffeine for a bit (both disturb sleep patterns, especially alcohol), and avoid heavy meals late. Try to have a routine as bed time approaches, so that good sleep becomes a habit. And arrange your room so that as far as possible it's at a comfortable temperature and quiet.
And your scary dreams (or rather awakenings) should stop.

I'm talking about when you trying to wake up but you can't move your body,You can only move your eyes, You can't talk or scream for help and you hear your thoughts out loud."HOLY JESUS FKING CHRIST THERE'S A DEMON ON MY BACK!! sometimes you can here wierd voices like foot steps or an engine or drums.
Eventually it wears off, It only last for about 30 seconds, then I wake up. Or if someone sees u acting all wierd and taps you you instantly wake up.. but now u cant go back to sleep quickly.
It sucks...anyone has a experienced this? or has a fix.
I know ...off topic... shoot me.
