WTH kra site ??? PAYE tax returns deadlines.
Is it last minute rush to fill in the tax forms -- or is the site just tooooooo slow for comfort ?? I am tryin to fill in my PAYE (last minute mondos :) tax returns and i cant get through... The pilot (PAYE) assumes one must have a PIN and a password without giving a new user a chance to register. The one that says "tax returns" is slooowwwwww !!! Too many requests or what ?? Anyone out there ?? KRA ?? w/r

Is PAYE included under the "tax returns?" Because i see a footnote on PAYE that says something like "we are experimenting with 50 users,, they are having issues with X,, so we are going to change the system so that it only accepts X-a.."

@ Larry, i gave up as well when i got the same load. I'd registered using ie6 in the office. (I know what you're wondering, who is still on ie6? My employer! Change is a distant relative). Got home on chrome & ie8 and that's when all hell broke loose. The site functions properly on ie6 only problem is things are too slow during the day! But out of curiosity, what does this nasty exercise yield? Very interesting - If techies are having such a difficult time making the system work for them how will the non-techies deal with it. For those who are still confused. Step 1 - Register as an online user. Even though you have been filing your returns in the past doesnt mean that you'll be able to login. @Larry et al - you have to select the existing tax payer option (if you are not an online user) and then fill in those extra details so that you become and online user. Step 2 - login now using your new account details then add your tax obligations. There's a tab with "Request Data update in TRE". Once that is submitted you can then try and file. (2.)If it refuses to accept the password you have always been using just request for a new one(again,I dont know why that only happens in FF and Chrome) (3.)Since they know how "user friendly" their website is,they have user guides like THIS <http://www.revenue.go.ke/incometax/pdf/UserGuide_IT1.pdf> to help you. (4.)Be patient,very patient;mvumilivu hula mbivu.I finally managed to submit in the afternoon after almost giving up.
