Ok. I have setup maven 3 and it seems to work fine. This is an indication that my environment variables are ok, yes? I have attached the output of ant -diagnostics. I intend to make changes to the core JSP thus, i think, the need for the above two. I've done it before on "Debian Etch" I also had a hard time until I realized that I hadn't installed ANT and my the JAVA_HOME variable on the /etc/profile was not pointing to the correct Java Path. In the meantime, I realized a mistake I had made; I am in a network where a proxy server is needed to get to the internet so I had to put in the proxy server IP address and the port in settings.xml in the Maven install directory.
