I failed to mention that I suspect network problems and the network involved is Access Kenya, as I have only seen this phenomena in two locations connected to Access Kenya. Other places, the phenomena does not manifest itself. I have been accusing this failure on viruses!! and no matter what i put through my clients machines, it still doesn't pass 99% of the update download!! the error was reported a while ao to kaspersky lab and they said tht they had fixed it!!! But it still doesn't work on 8 machines tht i have installed KAV in. When you have kedo 50 machines without central AV management, that is almost hell to me. You have to change update configs for all the machines. That would violate license terms for some. Updates must continue to be supported. A client I know also runs KAV 6.0.x and license expires in June '09. KAV 6.0, is, and this i believe for sure, the only corporate edition so far which is the latest. Am using that corporate version 6.0 and if they had released another then i would automatically get the latest edition free as per agreement with them. Updates signatures in all my stations reads 4/22/2009. Whoever said that the updates are not supported form April 2009 must be using another Kaspersky, may be made in China.
