Now you are not being rational here. Airtel have little control of your life. It start and end with your phone. If we were talking about Kenyatta, that question would make sense.

There is a cost a carrier pay for allowing hiding caller ID. They swallow the cost it take to track down the caller when law enforcement come looking for it. Airtel may have just looked at how much that adds up monthly against the number of people hiding their ID and concluded its financially more prudent to lockout anybody hiding ID.
