Methinks it's a case of male chauvinism! Why? It reminds me of a story about a man who defiled a child and when the girl's parent decided to let the law take it's Health officer who was supposed to conduct a diagnosis of the girl and submit it to the police as evidence, just refused to do so because he couldn't see why send his fellow male to jail! So he waited until 24 hrs later, when all the evidence had disappeared, to diagnose the girl! In this SMS case, I guess the cops and judge were males! Where you can sure the city council coz there was a crack on the pavement which made you trip and fall and thus cause you much anguish, or are all those legal dramas on telly just stories? Calling on the other hand, will still leave the evidence accesible because the telco can be asked by the court to produce the voice data!
