Microsoft have come up with what they call a decision engine , a smart search engine called Bing. Could this finally be the answer to Google? check out the presentation and decide for yourselves http://www.decisionengine.com/Default.html http://www.bing.com

I think Google has invested a lot of resources into making its search engine what it is, MSFT has its work cut out if they want Bing to be better than Google or to dislodge the pervasiveness of Googling in the minds of the common mwananchi. That said, they both have lots of cash to spend on geniuses to make, improve and market the engines, I foresee interesting times ahead. What Microsoft and Google are trying to do is to disrupt each other to protect (and increase) their current and future businesses. Google Apps keep MS from being too focused on Search and is also making Google money. Microsoft knows that they cannot beat Google in search any time soon (if ever) but need to keep them out of their (MS Office and Corporate) turf. After losing out on search (advertising which is bound to make Google more money than MS software licenses), MS is not taking any chances with Corporate Cloud Computing (SAAS). It will keep them ahead of Google (for a while at least) in terms of profits. http://news.cnet.com/8301-13860_3-10235233-56.html On Fri, May 29, 2009 at 1:51 AM, Peter Karunyu <pkarunyu@gmail.com> wrote:
