Is it wrong to copy paste a website? yes, word for word. we had this topic of stealing ideas. R, T21

Of what value will that bring? Please make me understand - coz when you say word for word, am assuming for example you copy the Safaricom website, but everything in it still says Safaricom ;-) ./Ok3ch On Mon, Sep 2, 2013 at 9:38 AM, Tusker 21 <tusker212@gmail.com> wrote:

@Ok3ch. Word for word, then you use find and replace. eg find 'Safco' replace '@irtel', find 'mpes@' replace '@irtelMon3y'. My assumption is the both provide similar services. and yes they have a good site that you do not mind 'not ashamed' to borrow their idea and take yourself to a higher level. Thing is you are doing business and you just want to put up a site with content :-) On Mon, Sep 2, 2013 at 10:16 AM, Okechukwu <okechukwu@gmail.com> wrote:

Yes and No Tusker21, Some sites do not allow it, they strictly reserve their copyrights. Some others do, especially if you read the contents of its pages to the end. The author kind of rewards you by giving you permission to mirror the page so long as you do not modify its content in any form. An example is here < http://www.cs.vu.nl/~ast/brown/ > by Prof. Andy Tanenbaum. Richard Stallman does the same too so long as you maintain the same copyright (copyleft?) notice < http://stallman.org/ > Martin. On 9/2/13, Tusker 21 <tusker212@gmail.com> wrote:

Arguably yes and No Yes, if it infringes the website's copyrights that is as per website and in the case word by word it might even be impersonating case. No, if the website content is open and not copyrighted or requires no permission for reuse. my Opinion not yOUR On Mon, Sep 2, 2013 at 10:22 AM, Martin Akolo Chiteri < martin.chiteri@gmail.com> wrote:
