Ive always had a problem explaining to clients why content can only fall into sections and categories. Invariably, the client has called back to ask, "can i create a sub category?" On the ACL for users and content, it now puts Joomla in a totally different league, and basically prepares joomla for a truly multi user, multi category publishing. Now for the security guys to tear it apart to make it impenetrable and youre competitor to none. On Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 8:33 PM, saich <saiched@gmail.com> wrote:

Think those ACL extensions and adding JForms will be somethings interesting.Plus nesting of article categories should allow for more flexibility.Cant wait to test it out. 2009/10/29 saich <saiched@gmail.com>

I'm on a learning curve here, I'm doing a joomla hack. I hope to present it soonest. I look forward to returning to drupal.

unless the beat drupal's taxonomy they still are far considering drupal is already a multi user anyway lets welcome joomla to the world of proper multiusers site.

Drupal Vs Joomla..............ebu skunks webmasters lets revist this argument exhaustively.... and while u are at it check out these two municipal sites i dont know who did them but they are sooo simalar in style and they look droopalish....i have been used to seeing most go.ke sites done using joomla http://www.thikamunicipal.go.ke/ http://www.eldoretmunicipal.go.ke/ On Thu, Oct 29, 2009 at 9:03 PM, Steve <sikileng@gmail.com> wrote:

At the expense of spending countless man hours, drupal and joomla is like oranges and apples. They each have their strengths and weaknesses and as is normal, youll most likely give a biased answer. My proposal, learn to use both. And perfect each one's system and be comfy in whichever. Honestly since 1.5, the stark differences became obscure, and the performance edge that drupal has had for ages became statistically irrelevant. On 10/30/09, saich <saiched@gmail.com> wrote:

e he eh eh he BRAINIAC QUESTION: How many joomla developers care to . a) change the admin theme. b) care to change the default session name. c) use the username admin for user id no 62? d) retain the default (though unused) templates? e) chmod 777 -Rf and forget to change back. f) retain the dead giveaway fonts..... if any of the answers above are yes or me, FOKO JEMBE!
