I know someone who tried and bricked their phone :) I think he managed to finally get the phone fixed at a Samsung shop in Westlands. Not sure if he tried again. Probably not. On Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 2:07 PM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:

Yep, A colleague of mine is currently running ICS on I9100G. The ICS package was obtained from some non-official source below : http://androidadvices.com/update-galaxy-s2-gt-i9100g-official-ics-403-xxlpq-... With the help of Odin3 software running on a PC, the task was quite easily done. The only thing to be wary about is to distinguish between an ICS bundle packaged for I9100G & that one meant for I9100. Tony.

I was told this ROM works for Galaxy S II. And I actually downloaded it, but didnt get to install it before some keepers took my phone. http://bit.ly/LN9TLk You will need to install via ODIN. I was gonna test it and write my experience in a young forum I run but that was never to be. On Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 4:01 PM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:

Am currently running Cynogen 7.1 Gingerbread but before this my 9100 ran Resurrection Remix ics 2.2 which is a very fine rom. I've also experimented Lite'ning Rom. You can download all this and many more on this website http://www.galaxys2roms.com/ My 2 cents, ICS is power hungry Sincerely, *Levis Kimotho* On Fri, Jun 15, 2012 at 7:47 PM, Martin Gicheru <martin@techweez.com> wrote:
