I am on the 8Mbps fibre package and even before the fault/cable cut I was getting an average speed of 0.2Mbps to 0.5Mbps. Again, they told me my link was fine. Also tried to tell me a lot of crap about it being a shared service which I fully understand, but 0.2Mbps out of 8Mbps??? On Wed, Jul 18, 2012 at 2:11 PM, Job Muriuki <muriukin@gmail.com> wrote:

I gave up on Zuku Wimax after getting under 200 kbps for my 512 connection for months. So I got an Orange 3g modem (ksh 2,000) + TP Link router (ksh 4,500) which takes the modem and shares the connection. My monthly costs have gone down from 3,500 a month to 3,000 for Orange unlimited. Speeds range between 2 - 3 Mbps. On 18 July 2012 15:08, John Gitau <jgitau@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi John, I have been experiencing the same with Zuku. On pinging www.zuku.co.ke I was getting 48% packet loss. Zuku responded to my query by saying everything was ok. That my connection was perfect. Go figure... On Wed, Jul 18, 2012 at 2:00 PM, John Gitau <jgitau@gmail.com> wrote:

aiyaiyaiiii I think i want an ISP with a custom package that sells me internet in a way I can make choices on when to complain. While I understand ínternet is an amorphous thing I buy, losing 25% of all my international packets is ridiculous.
