Does any skunk know where I can get this phone. Im told its supposed to be available in local shops but cant see it anywhere. Kevin

At launch they said it starts selling in second week of July, so that could be the reason. Remember the Nairobi launch was a global launch then they avail the device, of course the launch then included conversations with retailers which had probably started the previous week. Baby steps, they just started offering Kitkat, OTA updates and Octa Core in their flagships. Probably what I'd want more is better work between them their Chip manufacturer and apps developers in optimizing apps for Mediatek powered smartphones. What do people use RAM for? I have 1GB of RAM and it feels adequate, plus wasn't Android redesigned to require less RAM?

Dennis let's start by saying you are not the average user. Having said that, the average user will, upon accessing free WiFi or some expensive data install tens of unnecessary apps that also include games. They don't have all those smartphone optimization skills you have so mostly everything passes. They want anything and everything, they want to be able to play Asphalt 8 and Candy Crush, they want to multitask and since they have a smartphone why should they feel pressurized to close apps to favour experience on others when they are not using like ten apps open. They want to experience the freedom that Android gives, so yes, they want that bigger specs sheet, even for the feel that they have all that processing power. Care to explain why you will need that Subaru that does 220 kph speeds and picks in ten seconds to 100kph on Nairobi roads? Yes, thought so too.
