Dennis let's start by saying you are not the average user. Having said that, the average user will, upon accessing free WiFi or some expensive data install tens of unnecessary apps that also include games. They don't have all those smartphone optimization skills you have so mostly everything passes. They want anything and everything, they want to be able to play Asphalt 8 and Candy Crush, they want to multitask and since they have a smartphone why should they feel pressurized to close apps to favour experience on others when they are not using like ten apps open.
