Hi, Did anyone get the solution for unblocking the modems...if so which solution works best? Do we have any local shops selling open modem dongles and how much do they sell them at? A while back someone offered the unblocking service to the list members for free.What are your current terms assuming you read this. Once you put your new different SIM Card - wait for your device to be detected, once it notices wrong SIM, you will be asked for unlock code - key it in.. Ndungu, in the order that you posted your modems Flashing: 44833532 Unlocking: 52178825 Flashing: 37113492 Unlocking: 54267824 Kennedy, the orange firmware is not the standard Huawei fimware or aderivative, It doesn't take into account that modems are meant to be unlocked. You can try the foloowing AT YOUR OWN RISK. - search for the Huawei firmware for your modem at their site (I posted the link some time back here). - Flash your modem with the firmware. - Insert a different sim card.

I'm sure by that time all my info had been downloaded by some rougue 'Hacker' somewhere in china or nairobi :) My facebook was also hacked at the same time. Many times when accounts are "hacked" its because you responded to a mail or pop up that asks you to confirm your account because Yahoo or hotmail or google are checking for "active" accounts and will "deactivate" the account if you dont confirm your username and password.
