Let me add that in a perfect system where the educational system feeds directly into the labour market, you would hardly need to go for interviews or actively seek jobs for that matter. The industry based attachments, or even research groups with outsiders that ongoing students take while in college should simply earn someone a job immediately they are through with school. I would also not mind working with anyone who is much better than I *at all*. Some time ago I had the good fortune of collaborating with someone who is certifiably a magician. As far as I can tell, as many good to great programmers in circulation, I submit that the poaching of the same would be lower. The prevailing wisdom is that IT/ICT guys don't like to settle, it may however be the high demand for said programmers causing the proverbial greener pastures to always exist in the neighboring firm. Experiment: If your boss (if you have one :-) asked you to find someone equally good or better than you at what you do, to come work with you under the same terms you do, would you find one?
I might but I do not think it would be too easy (and I do not imply that I am *that* good, probably just lucky ..... )

I do not really believe you. I also think it could be because of the population rise in our country and the increase of more literate people among us, especially those who reach the University level of education.
In short, employers are kinda' spoilt for choice. Looking for _meaningful_ jobs has never been tougher. I could be wrong .......
