I think a lot here is about preference since the browser performances are not very far a part. I mostly use Safari since all my stuff (bookmarks + logins) get carried to all my devices - iPad + iPhone, but sometimes (like now) I can't resist using Chrome on my MacBook. Both work for me well. I also have installations of Mozilla & Opera which I now seldom use, not for any reason other than Safari & Chrome are opened! I doubt whether the problem is solely the type of browser you are using, may be something is eating into your system. If you had Mozilla before and worked stably then suddenly crash crash...*5 something is wrong reinstall and same issue something is not right. If woulds suggest I would say check you problem and diagnose it before it crawls out of hand or may be you are right it is the browser failing, but what if it is not. Most of the browser crashes are caused by system problems, so you should start your checks with your PC. That said, Chrome is that evil one we all use because even as it's quite efficient, it's a memory hog. My computer has 8GB RAM and I still reach 80% RAM usage thanks to Chrome. But that's not reason enough for me to go to others, the Pros exceed the Cons. Opera is light but misses many things. I actually don't like Opera mini for one reason; Javascript incompatibility, like ever tried using Disqus on opera mini?
