Hi Availability hosting solution [Cpanel]

Good People, Am looking for a HA hosting solution for my cpanel server with over 12000 domains. Any suggestions H/W are highly appreciated. I have so far looked at clustering and virtualizing. P.S. Assume finances are available. A.M.

Virtualize yor servers! Get an extra Physical server and install a type 1 Hypervisor preferably VMWare Vsphere 4.1(esxi) which is basically free. On top of this get yourself some storage to host your VMs. If storage is expensive, just buy a normal server and install open filler and create an iSCSI target for the ESX/ESXi Hosts. If cash is not an issue you can buy EMC's VNXe 3100 for your storage. It is easy to deploy and use plus support is readily available. I think you should just go to Rackspace cloud as a couple of guys have suggested You let them know how much processing power you need and then you can later install your C_Panel and upload your websites. What they re good at is making hardware, internet links, power, etc none of your worries. Regards, Mugo. On Mon, Jun 6, 2011 at 3:10 PM, Francis Obwogo <francobwogo@yahoo.com>wrote:

No.. he's not... the client is free... the 60 day trial is for Enterprise Plus VMware, as soon as 60 days are over it downgrades to ESXi/VMware Hypervisor. You really have many options. It all depends on your budget for hosting etc :-). On Thu, Jun 9, 2011 at 2:02 PM, Alvin Jason Ochieng <ajochola@gmail.com>wrote:

You let them know how much processing power you need and then you can later install your C_Panel and upload your websites. What they re good at is making hardware, internet links, power, etc none of your worries.

Just to add on to it. ESXi hypervisor is free, but also the free edition needs a license key, which you get when you download the hypervisor (you also download the client from the same download portal). I believe the problem with the client stems from the fact that your hypervisor has expired and you can't control your clients.
