I need you educated opinions on this: Lecturing is the process by which the notes of lecturer moves to the notes of the student without going through the brains of either. -- Do not ask the Lord to Guide your Footsteps if you are not willing to MOVE your Feet

Only in kenya. Go to stanford courses on youtube and compare to what you went through On Mon, Aug 2, 2010 at 2:52 PM, Jeremy Ogembo <jeremyogembo@googlemail.com>wrote:

Personally speaking, I dont think it applied to all my classmates. Some guys are very attentive (or bright) - they would follow the notes and ask questions during the lecture. Also, it depends on how interesting the lecture is... Or how urgent the lecture is (sometimes there is no time left in the semester; so some lectures have to move very fast, and for students to copy the notes and read later)

Isn't it like us to dwell on the perceived negatives instead of the obvious positives that came out of the grant? Regards, George. On Mon, Aug 2, 2010 at 2:52 PM, Jeremy Ogembo <jeremyogembo@googlemail.com>wrote:

I disagree. After the notes, discussions and lectures of the significants, I tend to get the big picture; this separates passing and/or failing. -- Many Thanks. Regards, Clement Ongera.

I agree with you Clement that after notes then discussions and lecturers are significant but my issue was/is when you go to class and a lecturer dictates the notes (notes that date back to the 80s) to you and that ends there. In my opinion learning does not take place. Its even worse when, in exams, the lecturer expects you to repeat word 4 word whats in the notes.
