@BigBoss, :-) a flash back from the past.....I'd suggest you to try what we used to do when dealing with semi-conductor/microchip problems You need to find a freezer spray to superchill to around -60F, this will change the semi-conductor state. This superchill spray was available from RS components in the UK. Alternatively, put the card into a small platic case and find a deep freezer to leave it overnight though your best bet would be the superchill spray. With the card super chilled, try to format it immediately. It just may work.. HTHs. Thx guys for your answer. Fixed it, card reader was faulty. Luckily, found another one in the house and it worked great. Thread closed :) On 1/8/11, aki <aki275@gmail.com> wrote:

Hahaaaa... guys focussed on the wrong bits. -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!

@Wash, I was tempted to ask on the card reader and assumed the person looking for a solution has tried all available troubleshooting methods. I think the BigBoss did not share one important info i.e a faulty card reader will freeze, hang up or even the read/write leds will provide hints so what made him/her swap it. I think in future to respond to any tech related threads, we should start by asking one important question : Are you a tech person and at what level? If yes, a lot of assumptions will be made that you have followed steps. If No, we can spare ourselves the unnecessary responses to troubleshooting steps which are also available on the back page of any product manual. Rgds. :-) On Sun, Jan 9, 2011 at 12:52 AM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:
