Hi guys, I think there should be a mythbusters type of show in Kenya testing Kenyan myths. For me, I'd reeeaaallly like someone to test how much time/fuel a Mat saves by taking the Majengo->Easich->Pumwani->Ngara route as opposed to just following the traffic at City Stadium. It really bugs me.

Mr Kivuva, For that the reason is simple, Kisumu is perceived to be the source of the Nairobi's fish. Well its not. Nairobi has more sources of fish from various fish farmers, but the sellers especially in markets will try convince you that its from the lakeside. Kisumu OTOH has its main source, the lake, while there are also fish farmers around they are not as many. There is supply from other sources albeit not as many as Nairobi. Another thing is off course the demand for fish is also higher in Kisumu MYTH BUSTED!! On Tue, Sep 25, 2012 at 12:51 PM, lordmwesh <lordmwesh@gmail.com> wrote:

Kisumu OTOH has its main source, the lake, while there are also fish farmers around they are not as many. There is supply from other sources albeit not as many as Nairobi. Another thing is off course the demand for fish is also higher in Kisumu

I don't think the myth has been busted. Which one should be expensive? Fish farmed for months in manmade ponds, given food, and many investments. or fish harvested for free overnight at the lake?
