Head of Networks and Infrastructure
Cellulant Kenya is looking for a highly motivated, self driven and energetic Engineers to fill in the roles in the SOMI (Security/Support, Operations, Maintenance and Infrastructure) Department as The Head Of Networks and Infrastructure. He/She must be initiative willing to work at odd and long hours and deliver within strict time-lines. Role: Head of Networks and Infrastructure Responsibilities • Design and expand to scalable Networks. • Ensure Network security standards are adhered to in implementations and expansions. • Maintain Cellulant Networks. • Document and create new monitoring ways for Operation Hubs also improve current monitoring methods. • Administer Servers remotely. • Plan and design High Availability and Load balancing among servers. • Oversee and maintain smooth operations that meet tight SLA's. • Must be very good in LINUX administration REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelors’ degree in Computer or related field. • Experience in building secure and scalable Enterprise networks (preferably with Cisco certification ie CCNA, CCNP, CCSP) • Good and strong skills in Linux servers administration. • Good Knowledge in Software development cycles preferably in Java and php. • Experience with relational databases preferably MYSQL. • Understanding of information security Start : immediately Renumeration: Negotiable Closing date: 28th February 2009 Forward your CVs to techjobskenya@cellulant.com.

Hi Pius, I dont know what other listers think but requesting a word from the CEO in any organisation is not as trivial as you put it, you should atleast try the CTO who you can organise and discuss in the presence of the CEO. Barricaded CEOs vs Accessible CEOs! Some CEOs are very Accessible, and actually do end up taking up issues raised on mailing lists. I've seen Michael Joseph respond to issues on another list that I know of. And BTW, a lot of what is discussed on these lists actually end up on the CEO's desks when it touches on their biz. Ok, Washington. I dont refuse your point and im not turning it down. I was basically saying that lets not hope that the CEO will accidentally read this but rather seek his audience (Its smt I did once a while back), I was more pointing on the direction more appropriate considering the channel i.e. Techie channel.
