and of course they do not shout on the rooftops about the increase. . . marketing is a very devious trade. On Fri, Sep 30, 2011 at 6:13 PM, Bernard Mwagiru <bmwagiru@gmail.com> wrote:

Here's the confirmation http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IipB-ajnKV8 Did they give CCK 90-Day notice or is it 30 Days? Did CCK decide to withhold this information? Poor Kenyans we are being shafted from all directions. How sad? Kiania D On Fri, Sep 30, 2011 at 4:53 PM, Kevin Omondi <kevin.ouma@gmail.com> wrote:

I think (personally) Safaricom should have held out until the other telco's increased their prices. They were just starting to lose their image as a profiteering company... -- Regards, Phares Kaboro Kariuki -----Original Message----- From: "David Kiania | Asentric Consulting Ltd" <kianiadee@gmail.com> Sender: skunkworks-bounces@lists.my.co.ke Date: Fri, 30 Sep 2011 23:10:08 To: Skunkworks Mailing List<skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Reply-To: Skunkworks Mailing List <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] Looks like Safaricom has raised call rates _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke http://lists.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke

Hello Phares, Show me a company that's not 'profiteering'? A company exists to turn profit, otherwise its known as an NGO... In my opinion, I think its always good to be first to move in a market, whether positive or negative. With the state of inflation, forex and interest rates.. a lot more companies are going to follow Safaricom (not just telcos).. -----Original Message----- From: Phares Kariuki <pkariuki@gmail.com> Reply-to: pkariuki@gmail.com, Skunkworks Mailing List <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> To: Skunkworks Mailing List <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] Looks like Safaricom has raised call rates Date: Sat, 1 Oct 2011 04:31:18 +0000 I think (personally) Safaricom should have held out until the other telco's increased their prices. While a shilling one increase will more than cover the resultant inflation losses, they were the only telco decent enough to sponsor the recent IGF.

@ Dennis: What does that have to do with call rates, you give back to society by asking them to pay more or what a you driving at On Sat, Oct 1, 2011 at 1:12 PM, Dennis Kioko <dmbuvi@gmail.com> wrote:
