Hello guys; I have very strange issue with mails for one of my clients. Emails are not working on Outlook (something to do with Botnet Detention). Check on the IP address shows its clean (not listed anywhere). However Webmail is working fine. Now what makes it more strange is the fact that on a different ISP outlook is working fine (can send receive and even set up new email account). We have contacted the ISP (JTL faiba) and they confirm nothing is blocked on their side. The host also claims they have not listed or blocked any public IP from the ISP. Anyone here with a solution to this issue? Kind Regards; Ken Ombette

Did you resolve this? On Thu, Apr 19, 2018 at 8:50 PM, Ken MAK'Ombettes via skunkworks < skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> wrote:

Hi Ken, Did you check the following. 1.Email is sending out more than 500 emails per hour. 2.Clean network for malware and viruses, dont have a tool to identify problem the pc 3.Change passwords to blocked email(s).The accounts may be compromised. 4. Account holder is using a weak password which has been identified by an authorised party and being blacklisted Issue with mail host and not your Internet provider,if your host isnt assisting after all above has been done just transfer the domain. Hello Simon; All that was done in vain. We finally connected via another provider on same router and same network and mails now working well. In as much as I would like to unravel the puzzle on why mails work for a few hours on JTL link, all the investigations have not revealed anything malicious in the network. Maybe one day someone will meet same issue and find time to resolve it. Thanks for your advice though. Regards; Ken Sent from my iPhone
