Hi fellow skunkers, With the recent lowering of internet tariffs by orange, we are hoping safaricom will follow suit. Orange is also has 3G services but on the CDMA network, the modems are going for 3999 and pricing for internet same as the GSM equivalent. Enjoy cheaper tariffs.
@Charles, I'll add a comment. I have 890 MBytes in my Orange 3g+ account which I paid for in advance but cannot access the services today. 3G+ ( evdo ) is very stable and has reasonably good speeds which it sustains well. Just when I was about to add a thread that Orange should consider offering SLAs as it has been able to provide reliable services, booom, end of month and the service is down for almost 5 hours. So whether 1 Kshs or less, it matters not.... that's just hot air. This amatuerism from Telcos has to stop. One more thing, UNTIL Orange lodge the 1 Kshs Tariff with CCK and CCK publishes a Gazette Notice on the Tariff change, I'd never plan on it long term. Its a fanstastic move price wise, I hope they can pull it together and not rubbish the services in due process. Rgds.

Hello All, I do not know if it just me but for the last 2 weeks Telkom has been very erratic. Half the time the connection was not working. Calling the customercare is definitely out of question because it is never picked. You have to wait for over 5 min if you dare call that line. Try it and advice if you successes. The custoner care line is 121 for data service. Some cannot get a reference number so that you can claim credit when they are down. At the moment i will not recommend client and guys to join Telkom. If the other service providers can come up with competitive rate. The climax was last week when all there servers went down. I DO NOT KNOW WHEY WE HAVE TO SUPPORT THE FRENCH, IS IT THAT THERE ARE NO KENYA WHO CAN OFFER THE SAME SERVICE !!!!!!!!!!!!
