for those who already have the safaricom E160 modem, it can be unlocked at a cost of Ksh 1,400.00 to accept any subscriber sim card. the older modem E220 i already posted instruction on unlocking.

Orange is also has 3G services but on the CDMA network, the modems are going for 3999 and pricing for internet same as the GSM equivalent.
