Sync files remotely & securely
Hey skunks I need a solutions that will enable or allow me or users I create automatically sync files on a server more like a dropbox but one I setup and control. Any recommendations or pointers? ./TheMburu -- Conservatism is the adherence to the old tried against the new untried.
On my home LAN, there is a mix of OSes, so i went with:- http://synkron.sourceforge.net/ + RAID1 array shared by an SMB server. Because of power consumption savings, the server's bios is timed to boot the server 30 mins before synkron is timed to sync the user's home dir with the respective dir on the RAID1 share.
