Boardroom presentation projectors with touch screens

Hi Skunks I need advise on the above solution, in that instead of using the legacy whiteboards and markers which normally you have to erase and cant re-vist the discussions or something you once wrote, I want a setup whereby you can save, recall or revisit a discussion/presentation etc. For instance I would presume having a small touch screen (around 14") where the person heading the discussion writes on, this is projected or connected to a bigger screen for others in the boardroom to see. Now the beauty I want is ability to save this slides, open new, revisit or re-call past slide for reference etc, split or tile the slides for comparison etc and if possible once saved the posiblity to store in relevant or personalized folders or location etc per the name of the project owner, the project being discussed, or even department owners. Rgds ./TheMburu -- Conservatism is the adherence to the old tried against the new untried.

@The Mburu, I wish you a lovely day. The easiest way without extensive cost is to take snaps of the whiteboard and store it. You can also record the meeting proceedings if allowed and get the info transcribed. Please contact me offline if interested. @Athar, WRONG! SmartBoards or Interactive Whiteboards have been in the market for quite some time now. They even allow you to save the presentation, besides allowing "touch". Take a look here -> http://smarttech.com/smartboard for types/features. And I know there are suppliers in Kenya. I just cannot recall off the top of my head where they can be found. Hey I dont want to record the meeting, look at it as a brainstorming design session where sketches are done and corrected. @Wash hehe had to google that, but yes something like that. Now im still reading on them to better understand them but can I save to customized destination folders and instead of blocking the light on the board, can u have a small screen by the side where you write and the rest appears on the major board? ./TheMburu On Mon, Nov 12, 2012 at 11:43 AM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:

I suggest you contact the vendors. They have better answers than myself. I just remember having gone for demos for these equipment, but I did not get round to buying one:-( On Mon, Nov 12, 2012 at 11:57 AM, TheMburu George <themburu@gmail.com>wrote:

Hi! I saw a certain gadget that converts a usual projector into a "smartboard" sort of thing. The gadget was on display at the Digital expo that was held at the Sarit center earlier this year. I cannot quite remember the vendors name as of now. Cheers, Stephen. On 11/12/2012 11:57 AM, TheMburu George wrote:

Hello skunks I have been using slideshark app for presentations through my ipad and it works good. I am not sure if it meets the requirement below but you can write notes while doing presentation without being displayed on the screen. There was a flurry of activity around these and about a year or so ago, but the practicality to it is you require educators committed to and passionate about digital methods. Change management is not an easy thing to achieve, particularly as teaching and its methods have stayed the same. My view, adoption of IT in education must start with HOW new teachers are trained to teach. Regards, William Warero On Tue, Nov 13, 2012 at 9:52 AM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:
