Hi Guys, Can anyone who has succeeded in doing this point me to right direction? I setup everything correctly but the step for reviewing my payment information is declined. I am using my visa debit card from Co-Op Bank. The bank has already enabled Internet transactions on my card. -- ˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙˙ Regards, David Njuki @njukey [Google,Twitter,Yahoo]

Make sure you are setting it up in the Kenyan store. It is not possible to setup an iTunes accounts in a country unless you have a debit/credit card issues in that country with a address in the same country.

Then again, you need to be sure they really enabled it. Co-op bank sometimes enable it then disable it "for your safety". I have gone there twice to request them to do that a second time. On Thu, Jun 7, 2012 at 5:28 PM, Philip Musyoki <pmusyoki@gmail.com> wrote:

It should work as long as its a Visa-enabled card, doesn't necessarily have to be a credit card. I set mine up using my I&M Bank ATM card which is Visa enabled and it worked with no issues,I even use it to purchase items online at no extra cost. Maybe hiyo ya Co-op ni Viza instead of Visa :-) Sent from my iPhone On Jun 7, 2012, at 18:03, Moses Muya <mouzmuyer@gmail.com> wrote:

@Jerry Nooo.. I have used that Coop card in various places around the world - and it works. So I am wondering why its not recognized at iTunes. Word is that Credit Cards are more acceptable online because they are readily cash deductible -- with some nice high limits. But debit cards are dependent on available balance [?] - thus not so popular ???

Hi Note that banks do close their debit cards for online transaction, so you will require to authorize the to 'open' the card for online transaction, the only banks that have their debit card open are coop, equity n I think i&m ./Cal Sent from my BlackBerry® -----Original Message----- From: Jerry <similamg@yahoo.com> Sender: skunkworks-bounces@lists.my.co.ke Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2012 18:18:40 To: Skunkworks Mailing List<skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Reply-To: Skunkworks Mailing List <skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Cc: Skunkworks Mailing List<skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke> Subject: Re: [Skunkworks] Setting Up iTunes Store Account Using Debit Card _______________________________________________ Skunkworks mailing list Skunkworks@lists.my.co.ke ------------ List info, subscribe/unsubscribe http://orion.my.co.ke/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/skunkworks ------------ Skunkworks Rules http://my.co.ke/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=94 ------------ Other services @ http://my.co.ke

lately, i have had to call Coop before every transaction and this having filled in the online transaction authorization form. what's more, the card expired and not only couldn't i transact with the new one they said i had to go back to the bank and fill in a new version of the authorization form. they were unwilling to email the form but relented when i made it clear that i will not be going to the bank to do something i can do online. Yep, sometimes coop can be archaic - but not if you deal with the head office. There are people employed in the branches who seem to behave as if they worked in Post-Bank. Why does one have to appear physically to give instructions when you can be authenticated by a registered email and personal private detail authentication?

Hi Guys, I am happy to report that this morning I successfully managed to use my visa debit card from coop bank to set up an account on the iTunes/App store. I suspect that there was a delay from co-op in enabling my card for Internet transactions. Thank you all for the comments! On 8 June 2012 11:06, ndungu stephen <ndungustephen@gmail.com> wrote:
