Hi Guys, Trying to help a non-linux friend troubleshoot her machine in Nairobi. I'll be back by Thursday but she can't use her machine and I can't remote boot in. She's on UB. 13 Latest update ran yesterday and she rebooted this morning to get updates set in. As she tried to log back in, her password won't let her boot in. Tried resetting password via recovery but got nada. Anyone here tech savvy enough to get this issue sorted out? And what will you charge? She's in Parklands. * * *W.* -- get to know more about me. *http://about.me/rahiminkara * this list is being *watched.*

How about getting someone reset the admin password then proceed to change the credentials of the account in question? Or did I just get your issue wrong? There are lots of guides on how to reset an admin password on Ubuntu on the internet.

Hi Tony, Went as far as resetting root pwd. Still no luck. I fear they've done something else so tried to get them to connect via Wlan but now getting wierd errors that I'm not able to resolve remotely. W. On Mon, Jun 3, 2013 at 2:57 PM, Tony Likhanga <tlikhanga@gmail.com> wrote:
