I have this weird feeling Safaricom have seriously screwed up their routing configuration - especially with 3G that I use. I can try and show support details tmrw, but this has been happening, perhaps since 8th Dec! -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 "I can't hear you -- I'm using the scrambler."

I have found it excruciatingly slow in some locations that should be blazing fast especially in very rural places. On Mon, Dec 9, 2013 at 8:03 PM, Odhiambo Washington <odhiambo@gmail.com>wrote:

Many websites are not opening, and reaching local sites via KIXP is nightmarish! Anyway, let's hope this is not lasting beyond tmrw - if it does, I'll sue!! This is business, not a favor. On 9 December 2013 20:09, Mark Mwangi <mwangy@gmail.com> wrote:

i usually switch to 2G when that happens it's really faster than 3G (ironical eh), guess queen bee really needs that spectrum after the digital migration ,but not sure why they are having issues , for a company rolling out fibre country wide (even in my ka village) trying to edge out zuku ,access and the likes .. this is a really bad precedence On Mon, Dec 9, 2013 at 10:08 PM, Morris <sageauk@yahoo.com> wrote:

@Gitaigia, did you just say 2G?? Is that same thing as EDGE? Now how you manage to work with that beats me, but I must ask what it is that you manage to do with 2G. Recently while on leave I had to travel 5Kms everyday to find 3G, because in my shagz, Safcom are yet to install a BS to extend 3G coverage. Back to the topic: I wonder what QB are doing messing up with their routing. Could it be 'preparation' for the rollout, now that fiber is being laid everywhere, even in buildings for free!! Anyway, let's hope this is not lasting beyond tmrw - if it does, I'll sue!! This is business, not a favor.

Orange via CDMA modem works well for me. Am sending this from Bomet which is somewhere near where sheep were mauled by a truck the other day in Narok. Speeds quite good as per screenshot below. By unlimited I meant to say there are no speed caps under the auspice of Fair Usage Policy no matter how much data I download or upload. The speed is fairly good compared to any other ISP in terms of pricing and my location currently. I have downloaded 3Gb+ in less that 24 hours while I do other things online over the same modem.
