We can hang out all the dirty linen, but that won't solve the problem. Since we all can't get jobs as civil servants, why don't we play a more pro-active role.... 1. Petition the govt 2. We all changa 20/=/PP and create a web presence to serve as an example e.g gokewebsitesweneed.org gokereloaded.org etcetc then have a selected bunch volunteer to develop state of the art sample pages of websites that need upgrading... with a What it looks like - What it SHOULD look like section- I'll be more than glad to develop a secure ERP sample solution that the MFA can adopt(if it already hasn't) - instead of having to pay air fare for govt officials to carry bulky files around.
I'm sure everyone on this list can contribute something unique.
Something that the future generation can look back and say, 'The techies those days didn't just rant, they did something about it!'
My 20 bytes
Collins Areba already changad everything needed, Patrick. Just tell us how to petition the govt now to take up what Collins did and presented as a gift to the govt. That is all we need to do. Your suggestion of changa this, changa that is much like "tower of babel" - never quite works in Kenya :-)

ok. Wash - but this shouldn't be a one man's show, you'd be shocked how such initiatives get to reach the ears of the people its targeting - some people don't just let that 20 bob just go, that and their skills, until something is done ... someone set it up, http://www.petitionspot.com/ - proceeds to go towards the website.

Patrick, Please prove me wrong on this one. Take the initiative yourself and start the project off. If you pull it off, you are assured of an evening when you'll drink your favorite drink until you say "NO MORE!". -- Best regards, Odhiambo WASHINGTON, Nairobi,KE +254733744121/+254722743223 _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Damn!!
